2024 Scouting for Food

Scouting for Food is one of the nation’s largest food drives that Scouts from the Dover community participate in. The food collected will help to support our local food pantries for families in need from our community.

Door Hanger Day: Saturday, November 2, 2024: We will advertise this event by placing door hangers on homes throughout the community to raise awareness of our food drive. The door hangers can be attached to the donation to make it easier to spot on pickup day

Food Pick-Up: Saturday, November 9, 2024:

Scout families from Troop 67 and Pack 67 in Dover will collect your food donation. We will drive along the areas that door hangers were distributed looking for donations. You can also fill out the attached form to help us know you have a donation.

Please consider donating non-perishable food items in recycled bags or boxes and leave it in a visible location outside your home by 8:00 AM on November 9th for Scouts to collect.

Filling out the online form below will help our scouts ensure that all of the food is collected.

  • Cooking oil
  • Canned tuna or meat
  • Canned fruits & vegetables
  • Canned stews & soups
  • Oatmeal breakfast cereal
  • Whole grain pasta
  • 100% juice
  • Rice
  • Boxed non-refrigerated milk
